Henry V

I thought Henry V was a cool show, except for the fact that the language was really hard to understand (especially when they were speaking in French). I wish that they could have had  a translator from the Shakespearean language to modern language at the theater like they had for the deaf children.
My favorite part of the show was the scene when Henry was trying to make Catherine understand that he loved her, and when he wanted to kiss her, but she kept running away. I think Shakespeare likes writing about forbidden love-- first Romeo and Juliet and now King Henry and Catherine.

  1. Lol yah I think that Shakespeare is more centered about making love stories too. I liked the play and all I just wished there was more action.

  4. It was certainly hard to under stand the Shakespearian English. It made it even harder to understand because half the time they were yelling which made hard to hear. tried to keep track of what was happening by finding parts that we went over in class and figuring out where we were in the play. I still got lost sometimes (okay. A lot of times).

  5. I got lost too, and the yelling didn't help.
No offense to the actors though, because they were good, even though they were kind of hard to understand.
My favorite character was the one who kept saying "AND..."
