A Midsummer Night's Dream Act 4 Summary
In Scene 1 of Act 4, Bottom relaxes while Cobweb, Peaseblossom, and Mustardseed cater to his every need. As Titania spoils him some more, you can see that Bottom's wants are become those of a donkey's. Titania sends the other fairies away, and then, when Bottom and Titania have fallen asleep, Oberon begins to pity Titania, because he is the one who has put this spell on her. Oberon orders Robin to squeeze the reversing juice onto Titania's eyes and instantly, she wakes up, and thinks that her previous love for Bottom was a dream. Oberon orders Puck to take the donkey head off of Bottom. Hippolyta, Egeus, Theseus and his servants enter the woods to find Demetrius, Helena, Hermia and Lysander asleep on the ground. When the awaken, they explain themselves, Theseus accepts their explanation, and announces that Demetrius and Helena, and Lysander and Hermia are to get married. They then follow Theseus away. Bottom wakes up and starts ranting about his dream and how he will have it turned into a ballad (and blah blah blah...).
In Scene 2 of Act 4, the middle-class men start to get anxious because the can't find Bottom and they begin to talk about how awesome (?) he is . Here we find out that the couples have already gotten married. Then Bottom enters, to the middle-class men's delight, and convinces them to do the show anyway.

A Midsummer Night's Dream Act 3 Summary
In Act 3 Scene 1, Titania and Puck are on the stage with the actors for the play for Theseus and Hippolyta's wedding. The actors are changing the play, and Bottom walks off the stage. When Bottom returns, his head has been turned into that of a donkeys (courtesy of Puck) and all of the other actors run away in terror. Alone, Bottom begins to sing and wakes Titania, who immediately falls in love with him. She calls over her servants, who are made fun of by Theseus, and orders them to spoil him.
In Act 3 Scene 2, Robin reports Titania's love for Bottom to Oberon and also tells him that he put the love juice on a young boy in "Athenian clothing". When Helena and Demetrius walk in, Oberon realizes that Puck has put the juice on the wrong person, and a fight between Helena and Hermia, and Demetrius and Lysander takes place. After the fight, Oberon orders Puck to mislead Demetrius and Lysander so that they get lost, after that, Puck is to squeeze another type of flower juice on to Lysander's eyes, so that everyone will be in love with the right person again.

Does anyone know if we are supposed to write a summary for what we read today, because I don't know and I'm not very welcoming to 9th periods.

I wish... (my opinion of A Midsummer Night's Dream so far)
I think the play is really good so far, but I just wish that Puck would have gotten it right and put the juice on Demetrius' eyes instead of Lysander's because Lysander and Hermia were going really smoothly and now Puck has just messed it all up. I also wish he would have gotten it right because Demetrius really drives me bananas because he was so madly in love with Helena, but then he just decided to dump her for her best friend. He's such a jerk!!
A Midsummer Night's Dream Act 2 Summary
Scene One of Act Two has Puck (Robin Goodfellow) and another fairy talking about Oberon and Titania (the king and queen of the fairies). Then Oberon and Titania walk in and begin to fight over a young prince and claim that they are cheating on one another. When Titania leaves, Oberon tells Puck to go and retrieve him a magical flower, that if squeezed on a sleeping person's eye, would make them fall in love with the first person they saw when they woke up. Then, Demetrius and Helena enter, and (while Oberon is watching), Demetrius continuously insults Helena. When Puck returns, Oberon gives him a part of the flower to put on a "young boy in Athenian clothes", while he puts it on Titania's eyes.
In Scene Two of Act Two, the followers of Titania sing her to sleep and then stand guard so no creepy-crawlers can get her. Then, Oberon comes and squeezes the juice of the flower onto Titania's eyes, and tells her to wake up when something nasty is nearby. When Oberon leaves, Lysander and Hermia enter, and fall asleep away from each other (against Lysander's wishes), then, thinking this is the boy he is supposed to squeeze juice on, Puck comes over, and puts juice on Lysander's eyes, and Lysander falls in love with Helena, who he then runs away with, to leave Hermia all alone. =(

One of the Best Quotes Ever
A Midsummer Night's Dream Act 1 Summary
Scene 1 from Act One of a Midsummer Night's Dream contains Theseus and Hippolyta discussing their wedding date and then, Egeus comes to complain about his daughter, Hermia, who refuses to marry Demetrius, who has her father's permission to marry Hermia. Instead, Hermia wishes to marry Lysander. Egeus asks Theseus to place the death penalty on Hermia if she refuses to marry Demetrius, but instead, Theseus tells Hermia that if she won't marry Demetrius, she will have to choose between becoming a nun, or dying. Because of this, Lysander asks Hermia to run away with her the next morning, and Hermia agrees. Lysander and Hermia decide to tell Helena of this plan, who then decides to tell Demetrius, so he will love her again.
Scene 2 from Act One is is about the middle class people discussing the play they are going to act out at Theseus and Hippolyta's play. Quince (the leader) assigns every one a part in the play, and is constantly interrupted by Bottom, an over-confident weaver.

A Midsummers Night Dream
Hi! I was just wondering what everybody thought about A Midsummer's Night Dream.
I thought it was really interesting and I was so happy when we started reading the modern version. (By the way, tell me which character you were if you care to comment)

His entourage of Bardolf, Nym and Pistol
Who loves Katherine, England, and his people
Who feels that he is the real leader of France
Who needs his army, France and victory

Henry V
I thought Henry V was a cool show, except for the fact that the language was really hard to understand (especially when they were speaking in French). I wish that they could have had a translator from the Shakespearean language to modern language at the theater like they had for the deaf children.
My favorite part of the show was the scene when Henry was trying to make Catherine understand that he loved her, and when he wanted to kiss her, but she kept running away. I think Shakespeare likes writing about forbidden love-- first Romeo and Juliet and now King Henry and Catherine.
